I CHECKED OUT YOUR ARTICLE,
I think this is great of you to post this info. Just last year i paid someone $1500 to do this exact thing for me and i feel im still at square one because i didnt understand it. Im definitely doing my homework not only for the nice cars but for my soon to come business. I agree with you when you express your feelings about woman and also men who don't and wont get their sh** together. We were young and dumb to let it happen but we are grown now to fix it and EVERYONE should be fixing this problem. Thanks, you have inspired me.

Sincerely, Young Black Woman Making a difference in her life!

i actually do have a question. I have disputed some things on my credit history. there is a 30-45 day wait. if they decided at that time that they are not going to remove the items what should my next move be?

30 - 45 day wait...

Did you dispute over the internet? 45 day if I remember correctly is for either internet or phone disputes.

The best way to dispute is to dispute by certified mail.

Though your 1st dispute can be by internet, it all depends.

How long ago did you dispute these items? how many did you dispute? how did you dispute them? how much are the items you're disputing? on which credit reports are they on?

Answer all of these questions, and I'll help you.

ok. i was only allowed to view experian online but i requested transunion and equifax by phone and should get it in about 15 days or so. On the experian, i disputed everything except 1 item on the internet. Now i previously paid someone already to do this and he had claimed that alot of things got removed but when i started working with him i had 10 items and i still have 10 items on experian. i cant see what my score is at all but when i started the repair process with dude it was in the 400's. He claimed that it went up a little but never said how much. I cant even get in contact w/ him at this point and im very aggrevated.

The info u needed:
I disputed by internet with experian
i would say a week or 2 ago (even though this guy disputed already sometime within the begining and middle of last yr)
i disputed 9 items
1st-$1,335
2nd- $2,310
3rd-$320.00
4th-$100.00
5th-$250.00
6th-$1,508
7th-$1,946
8th-$151.00
9th-$462.00

Let me know if you need anything else.

And now for my response:

Monique, the first thing you should do when you receive all 3 credit reports is dispute any incorrect identifying information. By that I mean, misspelled names, old/incorrect addresses, old places of employment, etc.

By doing this you increase your success rate when disputing items under names that aren't on your credit report.

Example:

You have a cell phone bill, but they have your name spelled Monickue. Before you dispute that bill, attempt to get that misspelling of your name off of your report. Then when you dispute, it's easy for you to say 'I have no idea who Monickue is. I don't think this is my bill'.

Same with old addresses. Get them off of your report.

You can dispute these items online the 1st time you try to dispute them. If some names or addresses won't come off, then you go to letters, but go ahead and dispute identifying information online.

So make that your next move before you do anything else, ok?
